New guy (Daytona Beach)
« on: January 02, 2008, 05:38:16 PM »
Hello, My name is Nicholas and I live in the Daytona area. Just started into bikes so I am pretty new to it all. I do not own a bike but I have begun putting together a cb550 from the ground up engine first. I will be asking a ton of questions and posting alot of picks with problems. Hope you all don't mind. Heck if yer in the Daytona beach area and have parts to get rid of holler at me.

Welcome to the forums Nick.

I once visited Daytona on spring break.  Are you shocked???

I went with a friend who had an uncle in a small town 45 minutes west of there where we stayed.  He and his family was truly hospitable and I had a great time.  They had a hard time believing that they would have anything in common with me as they knew only that I went to high school in Philadelphia.

Little did they know that I summered in Maine with my mother and my drag-racing, logger, fishing fanatic stepfather and spent most of my time raking blueberries and running dirtbikes and a dunebuggy on the family wood lot.  Once we got to talking, they forgot all their Yankee notions and we had a good old time.

Best of luck with your rebuild.

You've landed in the right place for that.
