That's not very smart on his part . The perfect chance to get another bike and maybe even upgrade his own bike some. Maybe he's afarid she will out ride him.

 And if he did offer to get you a bike, what would you want? Dirt,street,crusier. What size? 250cc,350cc,500cc. New,used,vintage. We need info so we know how hard it will be selling him on getting you a bike. I assume you want a HONDA.

There is nothing wrong with sharing, the CL is a nice bike for her/you/both of you.
The ulitmate goal is to get him another bike to ride and work on/modify. You can say it's for her or his brother, it doesn't matter. And I left a lot of choices. I'm sure he could find something he/she would like!
