I had the same problem trying to find a fork brace for my bike a 76 CB550K.  I finally found one on ebay but it didn't fit so I had to find a set of forks from a 77 or a 78 550 because the lowers on those models were taller.  If you really want a fork brace you may want to look into swapping out your forks for latter model ones.  I found my set on ebay for like 30 bucks.

Actually (and someone please correct me if I am wrong, asI don't have a good brace yet) that is not brace you will want.  Sure, it will clamp onto your stanchions, but it doesn't limit the flex the way other braces do.  The sort of brace you will want are the kind that actually clamp onto the very top section of the fork lowers (do you need to remove the boots for this?  I seem to recall there being a groove that originally served purpose to keep the boot in place, but is subsequently used as a seat for the fork brace.)  Search around the forum, and you should find some of the braces like I'm talking about.  IIRC, there is a HD brace that can be used (not sure of modification.)  I'll try to find the threads as well.

It's still possible to get fork braces for 550's and 750's (believe the fork dimensions are same).

Contact Gary @ Spec II www.spec2.com / (818) 837-1313. Located in Sylmar, California.

Ask for Telefix FS-4.  They are made in Germany..fit old BMW 35mm forks also (in case they don't have references to Honda).

Took me over a year to get from Germany..thru Gary though.  Maybe if enough were ordered..you could get sooner??

Talk to Gary though..tell him "Al" in Colorado referred you.

This is on a 400F, but works well.  I made some spacers from 3/4" aluminum to clear the tire, but 750s fork lowers seem to ride higher so you might not need them.  You can probably shim or bore the clamps to fit your lowers.  It came from ebay, brand name K&L.

I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Very happy with how these work, am using them on my racer and they serve also as the mudguard mount.

They do have an extension above the brace to retain the boots.

If you can find a fork brace to fit a K0 - K6, you'll be doing very well. As I've mentioned elsewhere, the older fork sliders were too short to allow a "clamp on" type brace, although occasionally the old "double horseshoe" braces (Two Tired has a couple of these) appear on EBay.

The best way to make your forks "brace-able" is to fit later (F/F1 or K7/K8) fork sliders, they're an inch or so longer than the K3-K6 fork sliders, and have plenty of "meat" above the fender to allow a brace to clamp on. Here's a pic of my K1 with K8 sliders, and one of those "Telefix" fork braces. Cheers, Terry. ;D
