Winter in Wisconsin???
« on: January 09, 2008, 12:59:27 PM »
Thank the Lord for the winter thaw this week.  We had a bunch of rain to clear the salt off the roadway and I could not help it...I had to go.  You know how it is...just had too.  The temp was 33 but it was just the best to get back out...you understand.  My wife thinks I am nuts, but I know better.  Right???

That's a serious addiction affliction you've got there, Johnie. I prescibe compulsory thermometer watching through the rest of the cold season, along with regular perusals of this forum.

had to jump the bike to start it
got her running sweet, popped the clutch and killed the engine
got no lights so i figured the battery is real dead
parked the bike because i did not want to get on the road and have the bike die and not be able to restart
life sucks
at least i got to hear it run again

Put a Battery Tender or equivalent on the battery and you'll be able to jump on and go any time you like.

With the mild winters here, I still ride more days a week than not.  Sorry, had to rub it in for a minute.

Yeah I'm liking it big time! I decided against taking out the 750 because of my 1/4 mile long mud driveway followed by a 1/2 mile mud road before I could get to clean tar. I took out the DT 250 instead ;D

:'( My bike is still in a pile on a table. If it were running I would have DEFINITELY been out.
