Dakota owners... will an atv fit in the back?
« on: January 05, 2008, 11:52:07 AM »
I'm considering buying a pick up truck. The one in mind is an '08  Dodge Dakota SXT-4x4- Crew Cab 131.3 in. WB. Box is about 5'4" long. I don't have an atv (yet  ;) ) but intend on getting one (4X4 as well). I don't expect to be able to close the tailgate but would it fit?

It should. check out this forum; http://atvfrontier.com/Forums.html
you should find your answer there.
I know my quad will fit, it's about 45" wide by 6' long but it's old and really pretty small. If you're talking new, like a big Bombardier or Arctic Cat than you better get some measurements from somebody.

Matt,

I've checked high and low on the internet (sites like the link you gave me) and never did find an answer. Looking at the measurements it sounds like what you said.. depending on the ATV.

Thanks,

Paul
