Any pics of solo seating mounting on a factory Honda frame?
« on: January 07, 2008, 01:38:23 PM »
Just as the title says.  I am trying to figure out how I want to mount the front bracket of my solo seat.  Anybody have pics or ideas on how to mount it?  I figured I cant be the only one who has tried this.

This is my idea.....

Thought about making a plate that is welded to the top of the frame to cover the whole open area above the battery and electrical but do not know how to weld or even access to a welder.  There are some local shops that would do it but I think they may charge quite a bit.  Anyone here that has a frame like this laying around and can weld, want to fab this for me?  I can draw up the plate and bracket in autocad and make a pdf if it would help.

Anyways any help would be appreciated,
Jay

Here is a pic of where the bracket is.  My idea is to cover that open area below the seat with a plate and then weld bracket to that.

Search for "project junk" and you will see my fight with putting a solo seat
on my old CB750. I decided aginst it becasue the lines of the stock frame really dont work
well with a solo seat (my opinion)..
