new to the board!
« on: January 07, 2008, 12:43:45 PM »
Hi,

I have always wanted to learn more about bikes as I had ridden as a youngster and grew up around motors.  My brother and father are the gearheads in the family and never gave anything motor related a second thought.  Well, I decided to follow in their footsteps.  So I bought a barely running 1973 CB500 four off of craigslist.  I got my bike license, rode it a few times and decided to break the thing into about 500 pieces which are now strewn about my makeshift garage.

This great idea started several months ago and after hours of polishing, degreasing, sanding, and reading, I am looking for some help in the upcoming months to reassemble and rebuild as I hope to have this beast on the road by spring.

any comments along the way would be welcomed!

Doug
