Newb with a '76 CB750A engine rebuild question
« on: August 07, 2006, 02:08:45 PM »
Hello everyone. I need some help. I need a set of rings for a '76 CB750A. Is the ring set the same for the CB750A as it is for the rest of the CB750's of that year. I can find rings with the part number 13011-300-024. They claim to fit a '76 CB750. Acording to a local Honda dealer the rings set for the CB750A is number 13011-392-004 which I am having a tough time finding. Is there a difference?

My Dad and I got it pretty cheap but it has not been started for the last 10 years. We figured it would be an interesting project After checking that it indeed did not have the proper compression we pulled the motor to see if there was any reason to mess with working on it. Everything is in good shape save some stuck rings but of course now I need parts to fix it.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Bob
