Where the heck is the flasher unit located on a CB750K8?
« on: July 28, 2005, 10:50:19 PM »
Okay i give up. I have to replace the flasher unit on my cb750K8, I went down to the auto parts store today, and got one. 12V little chrome looking thing kinda round, about the size of a marble or a little bigger. The manual i have includes 69-78, and says its under the battery cover. 78's dont have a battery cover, the battery is under the seat. I just spent the last hour looking for it, took the battery completely out, took the side cover off, and the fuses and everything else is there, no flasher unit. Can anyone out there tell me where this little sucker is located? People have said next to the battery.....on my bike, the battery sits in a metal unit, im hoping its not under the battery holder, to take that out a whole bunch of electrical stuff is connected to it also, and would have to be taken out /apart. Please tell me theres an eaiser way...... ??? Thank you for any help.

Oh darnit. I found it i think. Cant really see it too well, cause its so hidden beneath wires and metal. You can see it by taking off the left side panel, but I dont think you can get to it from there. Is it attached to something? I can pull on it, and it moves but im afraid to really pull on it hard, in case i break a wire or something. Man this is going to suck. Why couldnt they put it somewhere accessible?
