Seat Upholstery, FLorida ?
« on: January 08, 2008, 04:50:11 PM »
I'm heading off on Friday to Tampa "New Port Richie"  area for 2 days  and then on to Orlando on for the week. "Holiday" yeah ;D

Planning on taking my old Tracy seat along and while I was there, I was hoping to find an indigenous reptile to cover it with.

Any one have any Upholster you could recommend in the area?   Appreciate any help/

Derek.

I used a guy to redo the foam on my bike, but I was not totally happy so no recommendation.

However, if you're going to be in O'Town for a week, why don't you come to our Thursday night bike meet at
the local Steak & Shake? Can't guarantee who will show up as some of the guys wimp when the temp gets below
70 degrees.  ;D Lots of different kinds of bikes though and a very congenial crowd.

If you want to come PM me for directions.   ;)

Derek,

Don't know about seat guys but I once stopped at a ladies place called Mons Venus (I believe that was the name) right off the interstate just down the street from the old Tampa stadium. You might stop there and see if the girls can adjust your upholstery. They do good work  ;)

I happen to live in the New Port Richey-err I mean nowhere area.  far as I know, all we got here is a bunch of little shops in town, and I'm pretty sure most of em will only use vinyl or some such crap. now thats not to say you cant go find a gator or two, and use their skin.  I have an evil aunt I dont like, if human flesh is your thing.  ;D

Let me know while your in New Port Richey if you can get free for a while maybe we can find a place to place to have a beer and talk SOHC4 I live in Tampa.
New Port Richey has a Great Hooters on the water.
I know of a guy who builds awesome custom seats down in St Petersburg, but he is way expensive. I will see if I can find his Phone Number and address or web site.

I found it http://www.asweetseat.com/Frame.htm

Be aware that in Florida some English words have a different meaning.  For example:  'Tomorrow' doesn't really mean tomorrow.  It just means it isn't gonna' happen today.  I had a street rod upholstered in Port Charlotte and the 10 day job took 45 days; and that didn't happen until I started camping out at the upholstery shop.
