My brother had the next gen (water cooled) version of that in the late '80's (what were they called?). Of the 3 bikes he had before the 400 (KZ-650, Yam 650 v-twin, CB650 Night Hawk DOHC), he was able to sell this one before wrecking it.

You are thinking of the RZ350...

That RD400 looks horrible.  my buddy and his dad have between them about 9 of those in the yard. 4 or so of em are complete and will run with a little effort.

the seat is why that one looks awful. too short, and way too low. 

the RD350 is actually better to build because of a better bottom end I'm told.
