Hi All...New sohc4 member...Seasoned Cafe builder :)
« on: January 08, 2008, 06:24:25 PM »
Just wanted to say hello and I'm glad to be on board!. I have built many cafe racers (over 25 in the last year and a half) I finally got a 75CB500 that I can work on and post some of my work. I also am working on a few CB450's as well but they are DOHC's :( Iusually post my projects to the appropriate boards....so now that I have my CB500...I'll give it a go in here!

I usually build Yami's and Zookis....but I've got plenty of Hondas to keep me busy!

Very nice. Do you do your own painting and trim work?

Thanks Bob!

Yes...I build my own fiberglass seats, Tank welding/modification, fabricate bracketry and such, metal polishing and all painting. All of my builds that have stipes or checkered work on them are actually paint. I dont get along with decals much...lol

I'll be building my CB500K and posting pics on the forum with progress.  ;D

Thanks for the welcome!~ The GT550 is a great runner!! I found this gem in OK condition last year out in the middle of the Mojave desert...sitting in an older gents garage for the last 25 yrs. It only had 3961 miles on it!....I cleaned the carbs....drained and cleaned up the oil injection sytem.... cleaned and lined the tank...added some gast and the ol' 2 stroke smoker was back to life!
