I was over on nedthetoothpick, in the bike thread. A guy I know posted a pic from a show in Red Deer Alta.
It was a Harley Police bike, hanging from a gantry at the show.. it was hanging from a belt sprocket which had a belt on it going to another sprocket fastened to the bike, holding it in the air!!
Now he said it was a Buell blast belt, a demo to show the strength!!.. but it actually looked like the belt was cut in half!! ie half width ..like 3/4 of an inch or so!!
Looked fairly strong to me..
