I like the look of the bike but the pic feels like it's at the bottom of an aquarium. ;D

Love that chop! Nice paint, nice... everything. What forks are those? There are other places you could fill us in on your bike if you haven't already- I'd like to see/ learn more.

As for rules, haven't you heard? We bikers are an outlaw bunch and rules were made to be broken... power to the people!

Got carried away there.

Thanks, they are forks from a wide glide Harley (I know, I know, take it easy on me), and after some of the interest expressed, I will try to do a write-up soon (I guess in the project area??)...

This is my 76 CB550F. I bought it locally last summer and as far as I can tell its all original. I did add a Dyna S this week though (so much for all original). I'm near Trenton, Ontario.

I like that green paint. I've been thinking about going with bar-end mirrors and 400F bars; how do you like your mirrors?

Ecosse, I've got the same mirror set up as our friend Clark Kent there.  I love my bar end mirrors.  You can almost see both of mine in this pic.  Anyway, style wise I think there a great look.  The only draw back is the mirror is a little farther away from your line of site than the classic set up, doesn't bother me though, you get used to it.

Looks like you have low rise bars as well. I love the look too but wondered if my arms blocked that big truck riding up my tail pipe.  :)

Whew, I can finally post mine now that I finished painting!  Now all I need are new mirrors, straight bars, and a nice Spring day for a better backdrop.  Lousy Minnesota weather!

I like the green too, although i have grown to like the more subdued black sidecovers (after giving up on finding green ones or buying a paint kit)  i just might be running 400F bars- as they are a couple inches lower than the stock bars.  if you get the bar ends spring for the napoleons the expensive ones.  they are rock solid and what they lack in being right in your field of vision like the stockers, they make up for in a less vibratey less my-own-armsey view of who's trying to kill me from behind.  do it.  I have an even lower set of black bars that are a little narrower too that if i ever get around to drilling for wiring i think will complete the "look" i am "going for"

thanks and good rides

Thanks R550 and Klark, I really appreciate hearing about bar/ mirror experiences. I coughed up for some NOS 400F bars and I was thinking about the Napoleon type mirrors with the rubber mount.

The black covers look good as far as I'm concerned.

Like the yellow B.A.

R550, what header and bars are you using? Both look sharp.

One problem with lower bars: if you dump your bike, your controls can impact your tank and dent it... just had it happen to me and I am so pissed... That said, I'm not changing my drag bars. :P
