Doesn't look like much, but she's mine!

And that's my project CJ7 in the background.

Gotta whole list of things I need/want to do with it. First on it is finding cables that are not too long!

Well it looks like you have your hands full with both projects. I do hope the bike is first!

However its a good start I think. Cables are not that hard to find, look around the forums you will find lots of links. Welcome aboard and can't wait to see just what you do with her! Where a bouts are you from?

And yep, the bike is first. The Jeep runs decently well (needs a carb rebuild), and most of what I want to do to that is on the body, lift, etc. Already got parts ordered for the bike (some at least). TRying to find a shop that can shorten my cables sucks... The bars are lower than stock it looks like, and I have no idea where to find cables that are shorter on line.

PM Hondaman, he would probably be able to tell you. There has to be a place since I have seen shorter bars then those..

I thought I already posted in here... Anyway, I've got a 74 cb550. I haven't had a chance to take pictures of it yet. Plus there are couple a few major pieces off or missing. The main thing I have left to get is an exhaust, since I can't ride it without it. Down the rode I'll have to pick up some side covers and a front fender. Other than that I'm nearly ready to start to put it back together and get it on the road.

Here is my newly acquired 76 550K!! I am pumped about this bike. Bought it and drove it home over 100 miles. 14,200 on the odometer. Sold my 360 to fund the purchase of this one. Totally came out on top of that deal!

Been here for a little while now and asked a lot of questions...thanks for all the help everyone.

Anyway working on a '73 Cb500Four with 16,000 miles. Have done the clutch, points, tires, front brakes, rear brakes, cleaned and lined tank, and finally the carbs 5 times this summer. Pretty close now. Plenty more to do.

First pic was the day she came home with me. Next is most recent.

Better pics to follow when I get them downloaded.

Maybe I should post in the "cafe racer" section considering that's where I'm going with her.

Yeah, the only thing that has changed on that bike is the drag bars, the bike has 2712 miles on it, I want to cafe something like a cb500-4 my bikes staying as is.

hey the marchalls have a great saund,,and not too noisy..but 10+years old..
i have glass blast them,,,,there is very kommon in denmark and germany,,i find some data and pic..
