yes i went to rice o rama this year. not sure about bars they were somthing my dad had hanging around. exhaust is mac, the only full 4in1 exhaust i was able to find.

Pics will come eventually. I just got my first delivery of bits from David Silver & CRC2online. Still some more coming from Slingshot & CRC2online. This forum certainly has helped me sourcing bits. Thanks.
I just wish I could find all the pieces of the side cover for the battery to have put back in one piece. The samples I've managed to find on the net don't look the same as mine. Mine don't have that sort of tapered cowling on the front edge.

Thanks. 1972 CB500 Four. Got it yesterday. It's my first motorcycle as I've only been riding for a few weeks.

sold my first bike, a 72 CB500 and a 73 parts bike + a 71 500 (comaboy on here!) to fund my wedding in February.

I currently have a bone stock low-ish mileage 72 500 titled 73 thats getting some upgrades this winter and a 75 400F project cooking on the back burner.

oh, and i bought the wifey a 67 CA160 Baby Dream....

only has 6K on the clock, starts and runs good, needs tires (impossible to find those stock whitewalls) and could use some paint but the body work is clean and straight...

Mine is a '75 550 F German model
VIN: CB550F1016625, known P/Os: 4
Bought in May 2009, 30,000km/18,700miles in pretty good condition. Many minor parts like rubbers, bolts and plastic parts replaced, others restored. Tank decals chipped on the top. I have a second tank that I will have painted and keep the one with the factory paint.
Who do I have to kill to get NOS headers and muffler?

feine arbeit,,ist es ein hella bremse und schlussleuchte..mit gelb rot glass..fine dobbelt disc bremse,hat du der haubt bremszylinder gevekslet.oder gehts es mit der orginale..mit 2 calibren,,zu fytteren..sorry sprecht nickst so gut deutsch..

I agree fine work, and a hell of a tail light with the two colors, I like that.  You have nice CB550..! Keep us posted on progress..

My Dansk is even not existant

Yes, the German version had a yellow stop light. The glass is stamped "Stanley", so I guess it's stock. The second brake disc is working together with the stock main cylinder without problems.

I have still some work to do: Everything needs new paint and the cylinders show a some signs of corrosion. A second barrel is waiting to be honed and fed with oversize pistons.
