I'm looking for a different pair of gloves.
With good palm padding and all season or nearly all seasons.

What do y'all wear?

Aerostich Elkskin Roper gloves

http://www.aerostich.com/catalog/US/Aerostich-Elkskin-Roper-p-16818.html

Worn em for a good 10,000 miles now and still going strong.

Even used them for working around my parents' farm once or twice.  High quality stitching and thick leather, with a visor squeegee on the left thumb.

Just remember to get the black ones...  I got the "natural color" ones expecting brown, and they were yellow  :-\

Oh well, with all my oil leaks they're black enough now  :D

I used to have a pair of Icon Hooligans, they were great.  I also had until recently, a pair of nice Joe Rocket gauntlet style gloves with carbon fiber knuckles and leather palms.  they were great til I crashed the CB with them, and ripped one to shreds.

not sure what I'll own next though.

How well did they do their job for your hands?

Geoff, I met James May a few years back when we were both competing in the Thundersprint.
I asked him who this Stig thought he was impersonating me.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
He wouldn't let on who he was though >:( >:( >:( I had the last laugh though when a young lad asked me for my autograph then walked away leaving James looking a bit pissed off. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Looked at the Icons.

I like the ARC, says they have a gel insert in the palms.
The reviews on site leave something to be desired. I'd like
to know how these feel after about 6 hours.

Most people would say these are no riding gloves... but they work pretty good for me and can be found at your local Autozone...  Mechanix gloves.  Good grip, lightweight...

I wear a pair of the first generation T-MAX gauntlets, the have held up extremely well and have bad ass titanium knuckle caps for punching "stuff" Hot as hell in the summer, but still bad ass.
