I have seen a lot of cb350 twin racers use the Suzuki T500 front drum. The only issue is that after a couple of seasons of hard racing the hubs begin to crack. For street riding however I doubt you are ever pushing it hard enough to make cracking an issue.
Unless you need the drum for a racing class (WERA and AHRMA both have classes where the 350 would be eligible but has to run a drum), going to a front drum for looks is pretty dumb. Plus the 350F doesn't really go fast enough to overpower that front disc.
While a drum does have more overall stopping power than a disc, the advantage the discs had was control and reliability. With a drum you have cable stretch, brake dust buildup, and a variety of factors that make the stopping experience different every time you pull the lever. With a hydraulic disc setup, you have a lot more consistency.
