Morris Mag Help Neeeeeeeeeeeeded Sprocket?????????
« on: January 13, 2008, 02:43:17 PM »
Ok hear is the short.
I have a set of Morris Mags, i can bolt up the 6 bolt pattern rotors (CB750 sohc) but i have know idea what the rear sprocket brand is. I have the sprocket that was on the rim when i got it, it is the same as the Cb rotor. I have tested and i'm not #$%*ting at least300 roters and have yet to find a match.

I know they used this Mag on KZ, CB, as well as HD XLCR, and XL sportsters i have ruled out HD, they use a 5 bolt pattern on every thing for the sprocket.
if you have a clue to a soultion i would love it.

Now the rims where bought from a guy that bought and parted out a twin motor CB750 drag bike. (ya it was cool)
I have had them for 9 years.
Just thought i wold throw this out and see if any one has info be for i build a floting rear sprocket bolt on.
Yep, i have issues with this sort of stuff.

Get a blank sprocket..drill to suit bolt pattern. Steel ones are available at power transmission type places.. aluminum..  order from a sprocket maker... you supply measurements.

Steel will be heavy and need center bored.

How wide is the rear?? is it 18 inch dia ?

Not a tranny shop.. a bearings, belts, pulleys, sprockets, gear reductions type of place.. but they probably wont have aluminum.. nor will they be drilled..
