400Four Sticky Speedo
« on: August 06, 2005, 09:41:32 AM »
I have a problem with the speedo on my CB400F.  The speedo needle has  started to stick at about 60MPH,(100KPH), and actually goes backwards for a time untill, if you accelerate to about 85MPH it pings up to the correct reading again. The mileage recorder continues to register normally, and the bike has covered 29,000 miles. Any thoughts would be most welcome.
Thanks,  Roger.

Thanks for that supersport CB_400. I havn't checked' but do you think it would be possible to apply the lithium grease through one of the illuminating bulb holes with an injection arangement?. I am reluctant to strip my externally restored speedo although I do know how if neccessary.  Roger.

P.S. How do you post a pic of your bike in the posts. I can't see any info on how to do this anyware.
