Moderators, feel free to ban me, I'm losing the plot.
« on: January 14, 2008, 04:21:30 AM »
If you are 50 plus this might twig something in you..

Or this...

I don't think it has much to do with the Woodward/Newman situation. It's irrelevant. I've always  liked the song..Sort of country, sort of '60's etc..A different time maybe...You never hear the steel /pedal guitar these days..

TC, YOU areDEFINITELY the MAN! Thanks for posting!! The Monkees and Paul & Joanne were (and are) a part of our history (and Life). If YOU were to be banned, there's a number of us that would be right there with you! ;) 8) Cool way to start the day! ;)

BTW, I was TWIGGED, I'm going to hit 61 in March. :)
                                      Later on, Bill :) ;)

You're not losing the plot. As for the Joanne and Paul relationship, pretty refreshing considering Hollywood today considers divorce and annual event. ;)

Hey TC, Do you want to talk ironic?  On my way into town, taking my Daughter to work, the radio station (plays 50s-60s & 70s) played the Monkee's theme song! 8) ;) How ironic is that? ::) ;D 8) thought I'd drop that on you. ;)

Dang you fellows are old. ;)

I do remember the Monkey's Show, I was a young tike, just out of diapers ;)

The knew right off the bat that Mike was a Monkey.

Mike Nesmith, as a Monkey, didn't ring a bell with me but a real nice song and it's
great that Paul and Joanne have been together 40 years.
Sure isn't the norm anywhere anymore.

I had to look up Mr. Machine (not because I'm too young, just forgot what it looked like ::)) There is one on eBay with 39 bids and it's up to $150+. Your sitting on a goldmine. ;D

The first time I was young but did have the album. The album is gone now.

The second time around, there was a huge push in showing the episodes again and I know I spent a great deal of time watching and learning the history of the show and the people.
Nessmith is a brilliant artist.
and Peter Tork, to cool. He was hipster cool as far as I was concerned. I wore a tuke/toboggan/stocking cap out of respect during that phase in my life. Plus Tork is a cool word to say...

But it's not a 'vintage' Mr. Machine. We know how that goes, right? ;)

I had a Mr. Machine. I also had some early DC comics. Oh well I also had more hair once.  >:(
