I'm out in the garage testing out the degree wheel set-up. Most of what I've read so far covers the "degreeing" process, but not how to set up the measuring tools. I've taken pictures of how I understand it so far. Keep in mind that I've never done this before.
The wire pointer turns with the engine while the degree wheel remains stationary, right? If that's the case then I haven't figured out how to mount the degree wheel so it remains stationary. Tape?
I haven't installed the rocker arms yet, but the dial indicator will measure from the top of the rocker arm, right? Also, there are 22 different tips to choose from in three basic categories- pointy, rounded, and flat. The rocker arms have a flat shelf at the tip so I'm thinking I should use a small diameter "flat" tip, right?
That's it for now. More ?'s as they come.
