I'm back, hopefully
« on: January 14, 2008, 03:44:46 PM »
I sold my 550 two years ago when I bought an ST1300 touring bike. I still love the ST for cross-country trips, but I miss the CB. I'm bidding on a '78 750 and will know in two days whether I won the bike. If so, I plan on building a cafe racer. I'm going to take my time with it and really make it nice. Good to be back.

They're like Heroin, but more expensive.................  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

And Heroin helps people lose weight...with all the beer we drink working on these things it has a bit of an opposite effect! Atleast it has on me...

Is that right Dennis? I might have to take it up, I really need to lose some weight, but after giving the smokes away after 29 years food tastes so good again, I just can't resist eating more and more of the stuff! ;D

Well it's sort of like quitting smoking...I have to gradually work my way off of here so that I don't go into withdrawals!

The 750 went for too much on EGAY so I didn't get the bike. I think the winning bidder may have scammed the sellar as he had zero bidding history and paid more than the bike was probably worth. I will keep watching for a cheap 750 here in FLA. I'm looking for a complete but rough 750 to build into a nice cafe bike. If anyone knows of a fair deal in Florida, feel free to contact me.

It was probably the seller "bidding up" his own auction.............  :P

Have you looked on Craigslist?  The one for Orlando looks to be very active.
