New CB Project Forum?
« on: January 18, 2008, 02:22:47 pm »
A short time ago there was a topic suggesting a NEW and seperate forum for members project bikes.

I still think this is a good suggestion and would take it further and suggest seperate sub forums for CB400, CB500/550, CB750 etc.

Who would second this request and how do we get it instated?

A lot of project bikes and their good ideas get buried in the mounds of tech talk.
It's hard to find the threads of a previously viewed projects when it comes time to sort out a simular detail.
It would also simplify the search for ideas when you need inspiration.

I think it is a good idea.  The project forum and race bike forum are two on the top of the list.

I'm also toying with the idea of allowing people to create accounts on the main website (sohc4.net) where they could create their own project page rather than do it as forum threads.  The forum will come first; the other stuff needs some work to make it easier to use.

Glenn - how about a Blog for each project. The project owner could then post about progress without any "That's cool" posts to clog it up.

;D +1 on that it would simplify alot and make it easier for each group to be condensed for easier searching. 8)

I wondered about that myself, can the access be limited to the member estabishing the thread? If someone has a question about something related to the project specifics, they could post in an appropriate forum and link to that particular thread or portion thereof??
We'll all be someone else's PO some day.
