Yeah, it's definitely down. :( Don't know exactly what the problem(s) is(are) either. I've sent emails to Mark (mlinder) and Mike (mikedialect) and have yet to get a response form either of them. I guess Mark is busy trying to get things going again. Sure hope it's coming back up. If and when I hear anyhing, I'll post it here.

Greg (and anyone who might be interested), I sent emails to both Mark (mlinder) and Mike (mikedialect) to see what was happening and what their intent was. I got a response back from Mark and he is steadily working on some problems that have arisen, to get us back on line. Also, he's looking to change providers (or whatever you call them) because of the problems that he's been having with his one. Bottom line is, As Soon As Possible, He'll Get Us  Back In Operation. ;)  That's all I know at this point.

No idea. We need to upgrade the software badly as I was hand deleting 10-20 spammers a day. I simply don't have time for that with a full time job and full time school. I could not log on to make any changes or upload any of the new manuals I was sent. I haven't heard from mark, but it sounds like bill has. So, matter of time at this point?

Well all, the hondatwins.com site is back up and running, thanks to Mark's (mlinder) efforts. Then, when I tried to come back here to spread the word, I couldn't get on! Will it ever end? ??? Sure wish folks would just leave the bike sites alone and let us do what we enjoy doing! Sure would be easier for Glenn and Mark (and the others who have to deal with such). The cb450dohc.com site is still down and I have no idea if it's coming back or not. That's all I have.

Hey Thanks PJ, for the info on hondatwins.com. I stopped in here before going there and, by the time I got there, there were three to remove. Seems like they never give up. >:(  Anyway, things are clear there now.....For The Time Being. ::)

nope. We're moving to a new server so we can upgrade, ge rid of the spammers, add a gallery, add more security so it's harder for spammers & so we can host ALL of the honda twins manuals & other good stuff! Mark is probably busy doing that today or this evening. Either way... it should be back up soon!

If it's of any use, I'm hosting the www.dotheton.com site at Go Daddy for $7 monthly and am running the free Simple Machines Forum software - same as SOHC4.  We're up to 1,000 members and are using 1% or less of our storage and bandwidth.

Guys, we've moved hosts, but I'm still working on converting the old database to the new BB.
I don't want to lose any of the fantastic posts that were already on the site.
Theres a single forum up at the moment, but as soon as the database is converted, it'll be gone.
Be done soon, I promise!

Do we all have to re-join or will 'old' passwords still work?

Well, I don't think you'll have to rejoin. That's why I'm working so hard on converting the database.
Hopefully everything should work the way it did before, only better :)

Let me explain what happened, and what is happening, so that you guys know whats going on.

The old host completely buggered up our ability to do anything on the server.
I could not install phpbb3 on the server, so in order to do so, I ihad to move to another host.
Once we moved hosts, I set up phpbb3.
Now to convert the old database to the new phpbb, I've had to install phpbb2 on another server, and am now restoring the OLD database, after which I will have to install phpbb3 on that server. The conversion will take place on that server, and I will backup the database locally once I see that it has converted successfully. After which, I will then 'restore' the converted database to the hondatwins forum. I am doing this the long way so that I do not start with a buggered up or corrupt database on the hondatwins server, and can work out kinks on another server so that when the converted database is uploaded, everything is smooth sailing form the get-go.

Thanks again for your patience.

Awww,  does this mean there won't be any more free porn spam, nor links to free software, free financial advice, and links to users located in Burma?

As mentioned, YOU'RE doing all the hard work!  THANK YOU!

Yeah Mark, I'd like to chime in on this and Thank You for all you have done (and are doing) so that we can have a decent place to talk Twins. Not that there's anything wrong with the Big SOHC4! ;) You and Mike have come a long way with the Twins. 8)
