G`day from an aussie
« on: January 25, 2008, 10:29:47 PM »
G`day guys
I`m troppo, live in adelaide australia and have just bought myself a couple of cb750`s (78 i believe), one is a basket case (literally in boxes and baskets lol) and the other is a runner that only needs a little for the basic roadworthy.
i havent ridden a bike in quite a few years but had a few when i was younger, learned on a cb 250, stepped up to a cb 750 a couple of years and then swapped that for a 650 katana, wound up putting that through a cliff face (i wound up tangled in a fence) and gave up on bikes after that..
thinking lately, with the price of fuel here these days ($1.40 a litre) a bike might be a good summer daily driver and when i heard of the bikes and the asking price ($1100 aus) i couldnt resist, so here i am, looking for help, support and the company of fellow nutters (thats what SWMBO now calls me lol)
anyway, enough rambling, i`m off to cruise the forum
cheers all
troppo

Hi from the UK. Our fuel prices are pretty much the same as yours £1/litre. Don't let those Americans start moaning - they pay peanuts!

We have some fairly interesting characters around here; you'll meet our Aussies fairly soon no doubt.

thanks for the welcome steve...
the maddening thing about the fuel prices over here is that we have fuel reserves that could almost do for all our needs under our own soil, but we still import 90 percent of the stuff, damned infuriating and the fuel of many an argument lol
