StephenB:
For all those Ontarians out there: I had my CB750 K1 body work painted at BK Custom Coatings in Brantford: GORGEOUS. http://www.stephenbottcher.net/Honda/swanlake.htm#Restoration

Not very long ... and she is a beautiful swan back on the road.

Cheers, Stephen

heffay:
i just checked out your link... great job on your restoration... i agree with your decision to leave some aspects alone- like a functional engine... i hope that i will be as successful...

Bob Wessner:
How much prep work did you have to do on the parts, or did they do all that as well? You just took them the decals? Looks great!!

StephenB:
Bob, no prep work on any of the parts :). When I asked him he (like all paint shops) stated that he'd rather do the prep work himself, then he knows what's done. I supplied the color though (source: dondirtbiker@excite.com ... Thanks Don). They bead-blasted, filled where necessary, repared two or three hair cracks in the sidepanels, primed etc and applied the decals before the last clear coat. I did the rest like the emblems, diamonds, trims etc.
Brad did a great job, you just have to wait for the genius to do his magic, it took 5-6 weeks. He is busy. So busy that he is moving into new premises soon.

Bob Wessner:
I'm in the process of just "resurrecting" my '69 750 at the moment, but have thoughts of getting it repainted the correct colors and detailing as the next step. I'm aware of dondirtbiker@excite.com and his kits. I take it one kit was enough for the tank, fork ears, headlight and side covers? Glad to hear they do the prep work, I know less about paint work than I do about the wrenching. Can't get over how nice your bike looks, bet it turns some heads!
