ESPN's Maria Sharipova Fan
« on: January 23, 2008, 07:23:25 AM »
With Sharipova doing so well in the Australian Open,
I was wondering if ESPN would resprise their impossibly
gross "Sharipova Fan Promo".
Probably gone the way of X-Files "The Family".
Anybody catch either of these?

Too bad Jankovic's back was bothering her; made for a lame semifinal match.  I was rooting for Hantuchova, but Sharapova vs Ivanovic should be good.

Hantuchova seems to have no weapons.  Can't believe she got this far.
Must be the Monte Carlo address !

True, but she was playing brilliantly for the first 8 games with very few unforced errors; I thought she might pull it off.  Or was it just that Ivanovic was having a slow start?  It must've been Ana's squeaky shoes. :D

JD,

In an earlier life, I had photo credentials to the U.S. Open.
Re. Noah and Becker--These two guys were way too big for that little court !

Fantastic shots!  I was a big follower in the Agassi/Sampras/Chang/Courier era; only recently have I rediscovered it.

Saw a young Agassi late at night on the first Tuesday at the U.S. Open.
He was playing Peter Korda--and losing.
An out of control, very upset, Agassi was spitting at the chair umpire.
Andre did change his ways , though.
Oh, and he beat Korda.
