As much as I hate to see them have a perfect season, they played well when they needed to.

I just hope we have Harrison back at full strength if there's a rematch.   :D

Will having him back be enough? Not having Freeney could hinder them too.

It's easy to WIN, when you're a bunch of cheater...... >:(

OUCH! But wasn't it being done by every team across the board?

Prove it...Other teams didn't get caught red handed....

The videotaping ended during halftime of the first game of the season, before any tape was analyzed.

Most teams employ people to watch the other team closely with binoculars and try to correlate what they see them say to events on the field.  Truly videotaping was a violation and the league handled it appropriately.  Its advantage at a tactic is marginal at best, and was never employed to any advantage this season.

No cheating got them to 16 and 0.  It was lots of talent, good coaching, luck, and in a couple cases poor decisions made by their opponents.

If that's what you need to tell yourself so you fell better about being CHEATERS!!! Great example, how do you explane that to every young athlete..? 16-0..... That happens SOOOO often. Something like.....every 35 years....CHEATERS

The Steelers couldn't get it done even with the refs playing for them!

First time I ever saw a guy get called for pass interference while getting tugged around by the face mask!

Hope that team of bozos don't get to officiate the Super Bowl.  >:(

T-Bone,

I don't know what it is this year, but I feel that some of the worst officiating I have ever seen is occurring.  I'm not sure what it is about...

As the league grows the talent pool gets watered down. If there were half as many teams half the guys in the NFL wouldn't be good enough to play in the league.

Same thing applies to the officials.

I still didn't realize that a back can be called for pass interference for grabbing the receiver's hand with his face mask!  :o ??? Ward always seems to get away with stuff like that. Look at the great Jerry Rice, no one pushed off more than him but the refs overlooked it because he's Jerry Rice and him making all them catches was good for the game.

The same is true in the NBA.  Players get calls because of their "earned" reputation for being great.  Shaq gets away so lots of calls that other players get whistled for.  I'm a big Pacers fan and loved watching Reggie Miller but I have to admit the guy got away with a lot of stuff to get himself open so often.  :)

I think the league officials usually justify it to themselves by saying the fans want to see exciting games and that big offense is the way to do it.  Personally, I like seeing guys who can make great plays the way the game was designed to be played, within the rules.

To me, a great defensive play is just as exciting as a great offensive play.  It's not all about the points.  Are you reading this David Stern?   :P

Yes!!!

Great game.  Garrard and DelRio put together a good game, and matched up well in the first half, but couldn't sustain.

Brady throwing 24 of 26 complete.  Wow!

Ah, yut. great game there.

17 down, 2 to go.

Hard tellin, not knowin but I think they just might do it.

Funny thing is, even if they do win the Super Bowl,
Belichick will be looking for players to shore up the defense next season!  :o

They keep their eye on the prize and never lose sight of the big picture.

Jacksonville wasn't up to the task.  I guess the Colts will have to take care of it themselves. :)

The Colts have to get through the Chargers without any serious injuries first.

The Chargers should pull out all the stops in this game and try to beat up the Colts.

Their only chance is to beat the pi$$ out of the Colts cuz I don't think they can
go point for point with them.

Should be a he11 of a game!

Peyton gagged on the big one. He's back to the same old Peyton.
Last season was a fluke!

Peyton definitely didn't play well but neither did the defense.  They both deserve credit for that stinker of a game.  Too many big plays for first downs and Peyton gives up the ball twice on interceptions throwing high and letting it get tipped into the air.  Such a disappointing end... :-[

Manning had great #'s yesterday. The offensive line was very good until the very end. The Chargers secondary was good in the red zone. The Chargers are very physical and personally I feel the beat the crap out of the Patriots last year which allowed the Colts to pull off a win. The Pats beating the Chargers last year was their AFC Championship game. Anyway....both the Colts and the Chargers lost players yesterday which is OK by me as I'm a Pats fan. I'm already starting to get bummed out as the football season is rapidly drawing to a close. :(

Yeah but it's not like the old days when football season ended and then it was winter. These days when the football season ends, its almost bike season. I know you have the nice chair and tv, so you can still fall asleep watching Law and Order reruns. Where's the downside?? Besides... as a true Red Sox ( and Pats) fan of old, there's always next season! ;D

Ok, so I ask this:
At the stadium that the Patriots and the Revolution play, there is nary a sign attesting to the fact that 'soccer' is also played there.

Do you think the players are being dissed? I do, as many of the top players are leaving this year.
peace, and good luck to the other team, the uhmm Patriots.
