these are from a book a friend in japan gave me, listing every japanese motorcycle made from 1947-2007. the article i scanned here is apparently comparing the '69 cb750 to the new model. the first pic is the cover of the book.

Paulages, I have bid several times on that magazine and have been always outbid. Would it be asking for too much that you send me the scans at hi-res? I would love to have them in my CB750 collection.

Yes the resemblance is uncanny.  Who inspired whom is the the question??  Must say that while the seat somehow adds to the 70s era charm on your bike, it pretty much ruins what is otherwise a very slick design on the modern one . . . .

Its a total coincidence; I had a black bike and got that silver tank just 2 weeks ago. This new Jap CB750 cafe is going to be a new major distraction (thanks alot).
Anybody speak Japanese? I want more info on that modern black and silver bike or the kit. Looks like a Nighthawk as a base w/ carbon fibre, bodywork, triple discs, and lotsa juicy trick stuff..

i'll email some friends in japan and see if anyone wants to translate any of that for me. the guy who gave it to me speaks pretty good english, but a japanese as a second language speaker might be better.

If I did the conversion right they are around $7500 for the 2007 but only available in Japan.  Good price if that is correct.

What would the exchange rate be now? When I was there in Japan from Dec 67' - Dec' 69', 360 yen = $1 and I KNOW that it has changed alot since then. ::) (example: I bought a nice 66' Honda CB72 250cc Hawk (in 68') for about $250.)
