Doh!

I hope they didn't give you a fine on top of having to pay the dozer to pull you out!

Additionally I hope she dries out well for ya.  Otherwise you could always stick a stove in it and kiln dry lumber ;D ;D

(My step brother did this with a old but driveable van hehe!)

bummer, one winter many years ago the pond at the base of the ski slope I worked at ate the old bombardier snow groomer we used, it took the new one to get it out.
I farted and made my son cry.

probably a JD, they paint them yellow.
Just curious why they used the blade end with the pipe and chain rig.
We'd have just backed it down and hooked the winch line  to it,
Must be a grapple skidder.

Maybe an old modified Claas?  I think I read C50.  RM- the boom would be pulling up more than the winch so the skis wouldn't snag  ???
Those guys were lucky they were in shallow water and close to civilization. Notice the side view pic as its hauled out and see the drivers door is sprung at the top and then removed in the next pic. No opening windows on these. In deep water the unit would likely have settled lower and made opening the doors more difficult.  there is a good reason why there was a roof hatch between the front seats in the original configuration.

Claas.. never heard of those..

Maybe we need a Skidder thread! Monashee Mfg, 2 blocks from my shop built Timber Toter I think it was. We had one at a place I worked.. screaming Jimmy diesel!!

We had a custom one beside a job  I was on  once ,it was huge.. four ft of ground clearance.. locked blades with a D9 in a swamp and they were about even.. it could pull a whole logging truck load..
