« on: January 26, 2008, 01:09:52 PM »
I got this bike last spring. bone stock 76 cb750 super sport. i bought it with the intentions of making a cafe racer. finally after months of dicking around in the garage it has finally been finished.

the begining^

10 inches of the frame removed, capped, and signal mounts welded on^

Stripping the bare frame^

Engine out and waiting for attention^

Fresh painted engine and polished covers, in the fresh painted frame^

Suspension and swing arm on ^

front forks coming together^

good shot of the 7 way steering damper^

Drilling rotors^

Finished product^

mounted on the wheels^

Custom gauge faces^

wires look way too long^

My version of a "wire tuck" ^

tri bar headlight^

bobbing front fender^

welded back^

filled, painted, and mounted^

rebuilt front caliper and braded brake lines^

rear wheel mounted^

New sprocket, chain , and painted safety shield^

front wheel mounted^

coming together^

tank and seat mounted^

pingel petcock^

exhaust^

bike on the ground and exhaust mounted^

FINISHED

Great bike and documentation.  I liked it stock too.

I didn't notice the doll until it was mentioned.  Boy you gotta watch out what's in the background here.  Seems like half the posts I see with pics, there are comments on what's in the background.

looks "super Sweet".. How did you mount the liscense plate? And where did you get those gauges??

Cafe Racing is mainly a matter of taste. It is an atavistic mentality, a peculiar mix of low style, high speed, pure dumbness, and overweening commitment to the Cafe Life and all its dangerous pleasures. I am a Cafe Racer myself, on some days - and it is one of my finest addictions. ~H. S. Thompson~

Looks awesome Mike!  A very clean build and I love the color.

But I am kinda torn!  It looks absolutely fantastic now as a cafe racer,  but you started with a REALLY cherry original.

John

P.S.  What did you do with the original muffler and seat? :D
