My new toy.
« on: January 26, 2008, 04:11:25 PM »
One of my neighbors was having some computer problems and came over to ask me for help. After buying a new Hard drive(because his old one was about to go belly up), and more RAM, and a couple hourse to transfer files, I got his computer up and running better than ever. He asked me what he owed me and I told him don't worry about it, glad to help. He went away smiling from ear to ear. The next day he came over to get me, saying he had something to show me. Well, he took me down to this SeaDoo and told me it was mine if I could get it running and he got to ride it once in a while, lolol. I asked him if he was nuts or something and he just laughed. He said he got it from a buddy who was moving out of state for free. He said take a look and he would buy the parts in exchange for my work on his computer. It didn't need much to get running, a battery, new primer system instead of a choke, a safety lanyard, and a flame arrestor air filter. I just need a carb gasket to put it all back together. I should have that this week and in the water by Friday or Saturday of next week. I can't wait to get on the water!!! It being a sit down model, I can wear my brace on my leg and be perfectly fine and have a lot of fun.

I'll let you know how it runs in a week or so.

That seat doesn't look so good.  Hard to think about boats where I am. Not for a couple of months.
Go metric, every inch of the way!

Hey nice pick-up Jeff, my son went "wave running" today, and loves it, so we might have to get one, I don't much like boats, but those things are like water-borne Motorcycles! Cheers, Terry. ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

Nice. I had the same one for about 7 years. Did about 42 mph which feels like 80 on the water. Just watch out for other boaters, it won't turn if you let off the throttle.   ;)
