Never count the Aussies out.

(or should I say "never count Shane warne out" as he's the only one who seems to be putting up a fight!)

I think we were both lucky! But just in case you win the 4th test, I'm petitioning the Queen to have DNA tests done on your cricketers, I can't believe they're English! Ha ha, Cheers, Terry. ;D (Liz initially refused, but when I explained that I didn't want DNA tests done on Charles' kids, she was ok :)  ;D
I was feeling sorry for myself because I couldn't afford new bike boots, until I met a man with no legs.

So I said, "Hey mate, you haven't got any bike boots you don't need, do you?"

So what is it about losing 75 overs to rain that makes England lucky Terry?

C'Mon Steve, England is a wet, miserable, sodden sponge of a place, rain isn't a vague possibility, it's a daily occurrence! Just accept it mate, like we had to accept a couple of "Dodgy" umpires decisions! Now face into the wind and dry those tears, Princess! Cheers, Terry. ;D ;D ;D

Sad stats from www.net-weather.co.uk forum:

Days lost to rain (1880 - 2000):

England 82
NZ 41
Oz 36
WIndies 28
India 25
Pakistan 23
SA 18
Sri Lanka 14
Zimbabwe 4

Of England's 82, only 29 were at Old Trafford.

Geez, you're getting serious when you start entering statistics into an argument mate! (but it does support my theory about what a wet miserable place England is though)  ;D Cheers, Terry. (Australian cultural attache, self appointed)

There was a discussion on TV along the lines of "who's lost the most days through rain?" and the winner was a ground in NZ! Is there only one ground in NZ responsible for the whole 41 days?  Old Trafford came 4th with 29 days.

If you want sad, you should see my filed service records for my sohc bikes! (going back to 1977)

Good on you Egil, I haven't got a clue what you mean, but I'm glad that cricket is important to you in Norway, ha ha!

Hey Andy, pass me that bowl of sour grapes mate, I think you've had one too many! Cheers, Terry ;D

Not at all! just a completely independent assesment - you know how unbiased we kiwi's are, we love to see the poms and the aussies lose !
I think you were pretty lucky to escape with a draw this time...

Well Andy, the poms and the aussies can't both lose the ashes...

BTW  what's wrong with Billy Bowden's fingers?  Are they supposed to be crooked?

Did I mean, we don't care who wins ? Could be the subject of a whole new thread...
Billy of the Bent Digits - something to do with an illness he had as a youngster, I think.

Yes, but given the 90mph ball, or the slower spinner (however is an umpire supposed to know how far it would have turned?) I'm amazed at how little he got wrong.
