It's a serious point Terry. Cricket is not played in many schools nowadays, so the future players either have to come from the public school sector (where they still play cricket) or from naturalised overseas players.

Well that's just dumb Steve, why don't they? What are they teaching the kids now that is so much more important? But anyway, whats to stop a kid from picking up a bat after school, like you and I did when we were young? (not that I was any good, of course...........) Cheers, Terry. ;D

Bump, c'mon guys! Last test here in Oz, and my distant cousins from "The old Dart" are either too busy watching, or studiously ignoring the even? For shame guys, where's your pride in your countrymen?  ;D

I guess we suffer as you did in'05 Terry. It starts at 11:30pm and when I get up at 07:30 it's all over for another day. I tend to catch the score on the radio but ignore the "highlights".

Besides, my team just thrashed West Ham Utd 6-0 in the Premiership.  ;D

Time to resurrect this.

First test starts in Cardiff on 8th July.

You Aussies got anything to say in the meantime (other than "we surrender Steve"...) ?

I thought "We Surrender" was the title of the English cricket teams anthem, Steve? Or was it "We're sh1t"? ;D

Yup, watched that last night on the highlights.
Typical Australia, thinks it just has to appear to win any sports competition. Example ; Rugby World Cup 2007 in France.
Both the Aussies and the Kiwis got hammered due to................complacency.

Ha ha, well I can't argue there, in most cases, that's what actually happens, particularly when we're smashing you poms all over the place! (yeah, I know, I might have to eat my words, but after 32 years in the army I've eaten much worse than that, ha ha!) Cheers, Terry.   ;D

If Oz wins then I'll donate $US50 to this forum, and if England wins you'll do the same.
It's for a good cause Terry, but let's see you put your money where..........you know the rest.
