I bought a new '08 Kawasaki Versys do to APTech's constant nagging on me needing a new bike. I have to wait for delivery (and the snow to melt) before I call it my own, but a stock photo is below for those that need an image. This is my first new bike, I can't wait for spring!

i'm thinking about doing the same thing, get rid of all the vintage stuff and maybe getting a new bonneville or maybe a thruxton. i am that over old bikes right now lol.

See, I still have the CB550, the CB750 cafe, and I'm picking up a CB550 chassis and engine tomorrow....so I still have the bug, just needed a new bike for the long rides that I want to do.

I could never get rid of my old stuff! I saw the ducati sport 1000s with optional stock fairing on it this weekend at the moto show and I think I may have to get a new baby to accompany all my other baby's.

Guess I'm gonna have to look the Kawasaki Versys up and check out what you are getting. I'm not to up on the newer models. The picture you posted, looks pretty cool at that. Now, that bike's gonna be nagging you until decent weather shows up, so you can take it out for a spin. You KNOW you're gonna have to report back, after your first outting, don't cha?

Well, I never liked new bikes either, ad when I first saw this one, I was like man, that's ugly, but the more I was looking at bikes, the more I kept looking at this one, and it grew on me like a tumor, and I needed to have it. 64hp, 44lbs of torque. Not bad for a parallel twin 650. Its uses the same engine, and other parts, from the 650 Ninja, but has an upright seating position and better suspension. And of course I'll report back, its only the nature of the beast to brag....err...steer your fellow forum members in the right direction!

Yeah, I went back to Kawasaki and checked it out. Quite a lot of engineering in that one. Pretty cool and quite versatile too!

My buddy bought the Ninja 650 which has the same engine...nice bike overall but definitely a different feel and sound than the inline 4. He can't quite hang with my CBR but it is far more comfortable over long distances so I would imagine the Versys is like riding in a Lazy-Boy!

At the cycle show this weekend, the seat was never empty, so I'm just happy I ordered one BEFORE everyone else did,
