price of Aftermarket Carbs
« on: February 05, 2008, 09:14:51 am »
Please post if you have prices on CR,s, Smoothbores.. any carb that could be used on a CB 750.

I just checked the price on Weber DCOE 40,s..they are a lot cheaper than I tought.. only 400.00! So 800 for 2 carbs and 100- 150 for a manifold,  so around a G-note without aircleaners.. less than I thought they would be. Buying up a lot of jetting could kill you though, but you would not need too much if you knew what to buy.

I sure would like to try a sigle Weber on a Honda but you may have to move the battery and you would have to make a manifold.

Post prices if you got them.

You can usually find a good, ready-to-run set of VM29 smoothies for around 700 bucks.

Ken's twin Mikuni setup is 500 ready to run (won't fit a stock frame very well though)

Same here - Buzz at Dynoman. I added the K&N's to match and extra jets - up and down for tuning.

These are last year's prices, but they were worth every penney.
CR29's - $695 + $129 on the K&N filters.

Gordon
