Odd 4-2 exhaust for CB750
« on: February 10, 2008, 04:26:59 AM »
I had a chance to pick up a set of crossover pipes for my 750 the other day but someone grabbed them first.

These were much different than other aftermarket sets I have seen. Cylinder exhaust headers 1 and 4 went to one side while and 3 went to the other side.

Has anyone seen or used an exhaust system like this? What is the brand? I would like to track down another set like them. I kick myself for hesitating buying them when I first saw them.

I have these pipes on my 750. They came on the bike (when I bought it)... so I'm not sure what make they are. :-\
They sound and work great though. Kind of a pain taking on and off though.

I had those on my bike when I first bought it.  I want to say they were Jardine pipes maybe.  Like billdramp says, they were a bit of a pain to take on and off, but my seat-of-the-pants dyno says the bottom end punch was better with the 4-2 than with my current 4-1.

Here's what mine looked like before:
