I think Kit's fix in the switch, cleaning and dielectric grease may have done more than we thought it could.
I swear thats what did it for me.
Cleaning contacts, switches and connectors is a boon for the electrics.
I went through EVERY connector(spade, bullet, and the multi pin connectors) both the male and female halves, sanded and coated them with di-electric grease.
Mabey it was that or a (lower?) different current draw due to the dyna 2000 I put on my bike.
And BTW, the 650's I've dealt with, syncing the carbs really assists in ease of starting them quite a bit as well.
Not to mention a more even, and a lower idle RPM is tolerated without killing the bike.
Acceleration benefits a bit as well.
One of the MUST do's IMO for general tuneups.
Yeah, these 650's are really a kick in the pants if you ride them in the RPM range they make good power in MickeyX.
L8r, Glad tyo hear Mlinder was able to help you synch the carbs!
Oh, BTW, a little cam chain noise is not unusual, just go by what your manual says, and it should be good.
