My uncle is moving away next week,and he has a 74 750 four sitting in his yard.he offered the bike to me free of charge if i wanted it.the bike needs carbs,batt,seat,rpm & speedometer gauges,left side panel,and a good cleanin.How much trouble is it to turn it into a chop?.....and how much$$$

Well dont dump it! The money it takes is determinded by what you want. What is it MISSING? Carbs should be there and just need work. If you are missing a lot though, you can get parts on ebay or you can part it out and usually make some cash on ebay. More than you would by junking it.
Take a full inventory on what is missing, what needs work, then we can give you a better answer.

Think about how much time you have to invest in the machine though. But if you dont want the work you should part it out...these guys just love to buy parts...

If all goes well you could get it going for a few hundered and have a cool pile...even if you do chop it.

Bring it to the Dump , that`s what my wife calls the barn because there are always at least a couple of bikes scattered in pieces & being put together.

it needs carbs,seat,backlight cover,side cover lhs.2 gauges....ya i agree,it would be a shame to dump it.chrome spoke wheels,chrome fenders,pipes look like their salvagable.tank needs paint....strip er down,i think....u?

If you need carbs? Maybe. Seat is not too hard to find for those years same with guages and tail light cover.
All that can probably be had for under $100 in good shape. The side cover is maybe more costly BUT you can get direct replace ments from davidsilversspares.something or other. The carbs, welll, check ebay. You should be able to use carbs from 70 -76 I think.
