Topic: what is this? does it belong to the fork?

Finally, I managed to disassemble the Paioli fork of my Honda cb 125s. After separating and washing the parts of the left fork, I found this thing on the sink. I don't know if it belongs to the fork, because I was washing some other parts that day. I searched for the same thing on the other fork, but I didn't find it. It seems to be like a cotton washer. Has anyone found something like this on a fork? If so, what is this for? Is it an important part, given that the other one seems to not have it?

Looks a bit like something you'd find around a drum brake cam shaft - my Yamaha front drum has little fuzzy 'o-rings' around the shaft where it exits the hub to prevent dust etc. from getting in there.

That sounds logical. The same day I was washing the rear brake drum and shaft. It probably went from there. Thank you.

It is called "felt washer" -arandela de fieltro-, and as indicated, they are on the shaft that actuates on the brake shoes. FWIW, I replaced mine for original Honda washers, but mine were white, and though used, far from that "black". Nevertheless, the swingarm had two felt washers and they were that black.
