Electrical terminology question
« on: February 10, 2008, 08:20:22 PM »
I'm confused with resistance terminology and need some help. Is the term infinite resistance and infinity the same? Is infinity a high or low resistance? For instance would an open circuit be infinity?

Yes, infinite is an open circuit.
Resistance measured in Ohms.  The higher the number the higher resistance.
Can't get higher than infinite.
