One of the things I am coming to love about these old sohc bikes is how many of them are out there leaned up against barn walls and garage (hopeful inside). At times it seems like there are no more cheap ones available, and sure enough, another one pops up.

It also seems that the majority of the biking public continue to overlook and underestimate how cool and wonderful these old machines are. And I hope it stays that way!

My neighbor 2 houses down just sold me a '81cb650 for 5.00

WITH TITLE!!!
I was joking when he asked how much i would pay for that bike, and i said 5.00 .

His son was going to fix it up... like 5 or 6 years ago.
He told me he would have paid me to take it actually. Tired of mowing around it.

I have a 1976 CB750F with ~25K miles.

Tank dented beyond saving, gauges broken, signal lights broken. Otherwise just an old bike with a clean title. Doesn't run but compression is good.

Paid $350 and immediately sold the seat for $60- So I have $290 in mine.

I could e-bay the crap I am not using and get close to the rest back...or that is what I tell myself.

Got given a 78 CB750 F2. A friend's wife's husband had died about 5-6 years ago and had this thing with the intention of restoring it but threw a big end bearing and leaned it against the fence and that was where it stayed. Its in a mess but hopefully I'll be able to breath life back into it and restore it to its former glory.

Cheers

I paid 425$ for my 76 CB550. He was asking 750 but I got it down by so much because it was obvious he wanted it gone. It ran but needed the carbs/brakes rebuilt and about 50 other small things. This is the most flattering angle I have of it from the day I got it.

I rode it for a while then decided to cafe it out. This is how it sits today.

Then this girl showed up on the local CL for 1700. I offered 1200 and said I would pick it up first thing the next day. He took it and the next day she was in my driveway making my 550 look bad.

   This pretty much sums it up.   76' CB592 cafe. 69 750 project, 03 CBR954, 75 750 super sport.
