Wiki Helmets
« on: February 10, 2008, 07:35:09 PM »
I don't know if anyone else has gone to the CycleWorld show this year, but if you do, take a look at the Wiki Helmet display.  They are a brand new helmet manufacturer, but the big thing about them is that they are one of only 2 manufacturers, Scorpion being the other, that has a full photochromatic shield.  It auto darkens in sunlight.  Its also an extremely light helmet as well, about 3 lbs.  I thought it was really cool, and if I didn't already have a Suomy, I would buy one.  Have a look here for more info:

they run $300 for the Hawaiian design, and $270 for the other.  Free shipping, and comes w/ 2 shields (1 antifog, 1 photochromatic)

When was the show????  Did I miss it again?   Crap!
Not intending to hijack the thread, but I just took delivery of a SHOEI RF1000 on Thursday.  I don't know if I'm going to keep it yet since it seems too tight in the cheek pad area.  Either I'm getting a fat-face or these Jap designers are thinking everyone is on a diet of rice and fish  :P  Maybe it's supposed to be that tight?  I bought the same size SHOEI helmet as my RF700.....
