So far I think Mattydiah has the best story.. :o

But I will fess up and I had a particular CB 750/836/900 that we always called the .. (and I am not trying to run anyone down here).."The Faggot Bike!!"

It had a really, really loud paint job.. that I am sure someone paid huge money for.. I bet it won a few trophies.. but the owner sorta screwed me when I bought it and that is but part of the story..

My God, but was that paint tough !! :o, I think I had it for about 4 or 5 years but even after I sold it,  and 5 years later, the paint was still really great looking.... pretty tough whatever it was.....more on that bike in a bit..

Another was Montreal Cop Bike.. the slowest slug of a 750 I ever sat on.. well I only sat on 76 and older.. but I got to say that lump was the slowest I rode evewr on a 754.. flat tire champ too..5 in 10 days.. :o ???

Syble or Syb for my current bike, named by my friends wife who always referred to it as the bumble bee or 'kens screaming yellow bike' I always called it the yellow b*** because she can be cranky at times, and it just morphed into SYB standing for screaming yellow b*** Syble for 'formal' occassions.

don't normally name bikes, but do refer to them as she.

ken.

I used to just call it the Honda.  But, now that I've got two Hondas, they're known to me as the MT250 Elsinore and the CB350 Four.  To my better half they're known as the RED one and the SILVER one. ;)

Sorry, but naming bikes  ::)

have you ever referred to a vehicle as a she or her?  if so, your point is moot.   :P
Nope, sorry.  The bike(s) is (are) referred to as "it" or "them" or "those".  The dog was given a name though.

i can respect that... but, we still think that YOU'RE the weird one.   ;D

I named mine Carl after the character in Sling-Blade for a couple of reasons, When I got the bike My "Garage" resembled Carls sleepin' shed and like Carl He is fun to hang out with but proven to be dangerous to your health.
I farted and made my son cry.

85 Interceptor: Shadow
Mostly due to the partial black paint scheme and the fact it will be painted Midnight blue once i get a chance...

83 Interceptor:
was to be called Iceman but it is now unnamed for the moment

77 CB550K: Reaper
Mostly due to it using parts from dead bikes....

82 GS1100G: Roadwarrior
due to being refitted as a touring bike with a lil bit of a mad max style to it when the time comes to build this bike

72 S2 350: unnamed at this time...

I was thinking

Merlin

But then I saw this

So now I'm thinking something like Prairie Racer. It was the nic-name of the Horned Lark. They would always fly in front of your car out in the prairies of Wyoming where I grew up. I always thought they were cool.

My bike is named "Romero" by all my friends and my wife..... for obvious reasons.....

This is what the bike looked like when I bought it.  The tank was stripped "naked" the next week.

Your bike is the s**t. Probably my favorite I've seen on this site so far. Though there are some close runner-ups.

I don't seem to have the problems others on here have with theirs, but if I do I'll probably call it "dammit".

My dog's nickname is Dammit.
No matter how fast or how far I rode, I couldn't leave her memory behind.

I have a 1977 750k and haven't named her yet. I'm thinking maybe "Mighty '77" or quite possibly "Delia" after the Johnny Cash song. Because Johnny Cash was just that much of a badass.
