MC/caliper rebuilds
« on: February 12, 2008, 03:55:47 PM »
Where is a reasonable source for rebuild kits for the master cyl and caliper for the CB750s? Also, what comes with them anyway, o-rings and seals only?

Also (and I may have asked this before sorry): Where is source for braided and/or stainless lines? Before I hit the streets I want to replace all my hydraulic hoses and I understand that these are better options.

Everything for the brakes should be available from Honda, servicehonda is a good online source if you have the part #'s.Front MC kits come with everything(plunger, seals, clips, etc), I forget what comes with the rear kit(750F model) but think it includes everything as well. Rubber seals for the calipers are sold seperately and pistons are discontinued? but think that someone on ebay sells phenolic replicas.
Give me..a frame to build a bike on, and my imagination will build upon that frame

  • If you can't fix it with a hammer, it's electrical

The rear M/C kit for the 750f includes everything for the rebuild, and rear caliper pistons are still available as well...they're just a wee bit pricey. $97 per piston, and there's two required....I just about shat myself when I heard that price, but I needed em... :-\
