Hi all, I'm currently living in New Zealand but are moving to Australia to live. I am restoring a 1978 CB750 F2 that was given to me. It has dropped a big end bearing and hasn't moved in over 5 years. It had a Suzuki tank, seat and fairing attached and was registered as a 1985 CB750 which was wrong.
So far I have throw away the tank, seat and fairing, completely stripped the frame and had it sand blasted and powder coated. It looks brand new. I had to grind off some brackets that had been welded on for the seat etc.
I have taken the head and barrels off the engine and am about to split the crankcase to get at the big end but I won't do that until we get to Australia.
Hopefully soon as we sell our house here in hamilton, New Zealand.
I have been reading some of the threads and already have got a great deal of info from them. As soon as I figure out how to post pictures on here I'll show the before and during shots. Thanks in advance for your help.
By the way I also have a 1980 CB750KZ DOHC that I have sort of restored but will be selling before we move.
Cheers
Roscoe. :)
