clear wiring diagram
« on: February 13, 2008, 10:30:56 PM »
G`day guys
as posted previously i`ve been having problems with the wiring on my bike, it now seems i have been using a 750f2 diagram when i`ve got a 750f1....
there are no huge differences but there does seem to be differences, i have done the search and found a pdf containing one but when enlarged enough to actually read, it cant be read...
does anyone have, or can anyone get me ag clear hi res copy of an 1975 cb 750 f (1) ?
it will be so much easier if i can actually see the details and codes
cheers all

Hi Troppo, if you get a copy of the Clymer manual No M341 "Honda CB750 SOHC Fours - 1969 - 1978" it has colour wiring diagrams for all CB750's including the F1 and F2 and yes they are different.

I'll see if it's in my manual.  If so, I'll scan it and post it here.

Hi troppo,

Good men advise, helped me a lot.

ALWAYS take photos BEFORE you are taking things apart.

Will save a lot of headache later,  (and you will have what to show to your grandchildren... ;D)

Keep us posted and show pics.

Cheers

well its a bit late for before pictures jona lol, working with an illegible (and apparently wrong model) wiring diagram, i tore out all the PO dodgy wiring, and started to fix the mess.
I`ll have to clean all the earths but theres a few cut wires i`ll have to try and replace, i`ll take pics as i go so i can explain any further questions have
hopefully i will be able to start tomorrow
cheers

With special thanks for the efforts of troppo and cb750k7, we now have a complete set of CB750 wiring diagrams.  cb750k7 sent me a whole set of high-resolution scans in pdf format that will print up really nicely.

FYI, here's a link to Old Man Honda's site.

http://oldmanhonda.com/MC/MC.html

He has both standard, and interactive (turn off components you don't need to see) diagrams.

Hope this helps.
