wiring new Aftermarket Turn signal switch

Hello Guys,

Here is my current situation..

Bike 1975 CB750


I picked up an Aftermarket turn signal/headlight Switch. I have the headlight hooked up.

BUT I have a few stray wires I need to connect or do away with.

My NEW switch has 3 wires remaining

1) Left Turn signal wire
2) Right Turn Signal wire
3) Turn Signal Main Wire (exact name by aftermarket diagram)

Currently here are my leftover wires from OLD bike switch. 7 wires remaining

ORANGE
O/white stripe : I know orange wires are LEFT signals                           
                                       
BLUE :              I know blue are Right signals.
B/White stripe

GRAY:                who knows..pulse signal wire...but where does that go on my NEW switch
Brown/blue stripe..who know where that goes on new switch
Brown/white stripe..who knows where that goes on new switch.

ALSO can I just do away with those running lights and not hook up Orange/white stripe and Blue/white stripe or do I need those wired in some where to NEW switch.

LB/White stripe -------> Insulate end or leave unconnected

Brown/blue stripe..who know where that goes on new switch -------> for the turn buzzer. yeah right, one of THOSE on a cafe bike. Bwahhaha
Brown/white stripe..who knows where that goes on new switch. -------> This is for your headlight power.  Where's your headlight high low switch?

gosh I thought I had my headlight working well..I checked it..it worked...maybe not totally hooked up right..lol :0

The only thing I did with wires from bike is snip off of OLD switch and try to trace location in switch to be sure I'm correct.

If Brown/white stripe is for Headlight power...then what about WHITE..I had that hooked up for low beam power.

Here is my current wire job for new Headlight switch: New switch instructions have different names to call wire.

FROM BIKE:                            NEW SWITCH WIRE HARNESS"
White wire......to ..................NEW SWITCH Low beam wire
Brown/red stripe.....to............NEW SWITCH H/L beam main wire
Dark Blue.......to....................NEW SWITCH..High Beam wire
Light Green....to....................NEW SWITCH ..Horn wire

What do you think

I guess you have a K model and not an F model.  Would have been nice if you told us that beforehand.  You won't need the Br/W if you aren't going to have forward run lights on the K model.  Tape it off or otherwise insure that it can't touch frame components.  It's hot from the key switch when on.  (assuming you still have a K5 key switch).

Looks like you've got things connected properly.

Sorry it is a 1975 CB750F model

but I'll tape off the Brown/White Wire anyways.

Does the grey wire always have power or only when ignition on and or bike running.

I just want to be sure...I'm not throwing away needed wires..This NEW SWITCH has half the amount of wire connections.

The CB750F model wire diagram from the Honda Shop manual doesn't have any Br/R wires.  The K5 model does.  I don't know what to tell you anymore about headlight power.

The gray wire on a normal bike comes from the flasher unit.  The stock flasher is powered from the keyswitch when on (black wire).  When a proper resistive load is placed on the grey wire (Turn switch and lamp), the flasher should pulse the power going to the gray wire, and thus the bulb flashes.  This assumes the proper voltage is being placed on the Black wires.

I had a bit of this same confusion when i wired up an aftermarket switch to my bike. The stock switch has a wire that runs power to the running lights (blinkers are dual filament) and switches that power off to a side when the bilnker is turned on. The new switch didn't have this extra capacity (neither did my new blinkers, so it was easy to by pass).
