I would not be surprised if some of that equipment was still in use. We had to contract with a control cab simulator builder for a major commuter railroad. They ran a work train equipped with several cameras around the system and recorded locations with a GPS. There were signals out there that did not appear on any documemtation and no one knew why they were there.
That is a wonderful piece of gear. It is fixable whereas everything today is disposable. I only got into Railcars 2 1/2 years ago, but I spend a lot of time with old timers.
